Bangladeshi citizens living in the following areas may apply for Bangladesh E-Passport to the Assistant High Commission for Bangladesh in Birmingham:
Midlands: Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, West Midlands, Leicestershire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Hereford and Worchester, Salop, Gloucestershire.
South Wales: Cardiff, Newport, Swansea, Powys, Mid Glamorgan, South Glamorgan, Dyfed, Gwent.
2 easy steps to your e-passport
You can get your e-passport following 3 easy steps.
Step 1: Fill in the e-passport application online:
First, please go to epassport.gov.bd and select ‘Apply Online’. Please follow the instructions and fill up that application. You will need your email address to create an account and sign in to the application page. Please keep your previous passport and NID/Online birth certificate handy to fill up the application with appropriate information. Data in your previous passport, NID/Online birth certificate and future e-passport should be the same. If any correction is required, you must submit appropriate supporting documents in favour of that.
Step 2: Collect your e-passport.
You will receive an email/SMS notification when the passport is ready. Bring the delivery slip you received during passport enrolment.
Required documents Bangladeshi Citizens by birth:
- Printed application summary (with the barcode).
- Printed application form (with the barcode)
- Printed email confirmation for the appointment.
- Bangladeshi NID card or online Bangladeshi Birth certificate (in English)
- Existing Bangladesh Passport.
- Proof of address in the UK
- British/Other countries passport (For dual citizens)
- Student ID card with an expiry date or letter from the concerned institution (if applicable)
- GO/NOC for govt. service holder (if applicable)
- Further documents depend on the application's nature/correction. (ie. supporting documents for changing marital status, updating profession etc.)

- Full UK Birth Certificate.
- British/Other countries passport (For dual citizens)

- DBS Certificate for (for 18+ applicants)
- One 4R size photo with a white background (if the applicant is an infant)
- Student ID card with an expiry date or letter from the concerned institution (if applicable)

Required documents for lost or stolen passport:
- Printed application summary (with the barcode).
- Printed application form (with the barcode)
- Printed email confirmation for the booking.
- Bangladeshi NID card or online Bangladeshi Birth certificate (in English)
- A copy of the lost or stolen Bangladesh Passport.
- Proof of address in the UK

- Student ID card with an expiry date or letter from the concerned institution (if Applicable)
