Brief Profile of Mr. Md. Alimuzzaman

Mr. Md. Alimuzzaman, Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Birmingham is a career diplomat from the 2005 Batch of Bangladesh Foreign Service. Mr. Alimuzzaman is a pharmacy graduate from Dhaka University and has completed his Masters in International Relations & Diplomacy from Australian National University. Before assuming the charges of AHC, Birmingham he has served in various capacities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka and in Bangladesh Missions abroad. In the Ministry he has served as Assistant Secretary, SAARC and BIMSTEC; Senior Assistant Secretary, Protocol Visit; Director, Multilateral Economic Affairs; Director and Director General, Foreign Secretary’s Office. Mr. Alimuzzaman has also served in Bangladesh Permanent Mission in Geneva and Bangladesh High Commission in Colombo.

He is married and has two children.
