3 easy steps to your e-passport
You can get your e-passport following 3 easy steps.
Step 1: Fill in the e-passport application online:
First, please go to epassport.gov.bd and select ‘Apply Online’. Please follow the instructions and fill up that application. You will need your email address to create an account and sign in to the application page. Please keep your previous passport and NID/Online birth certificate handy to fill up the application with appropriate information. Data in your previous passport, NID/Online birth certificate and future e-passport should be the same. If any correction is required, you must submit appropriate supporting documents in favour of that.
Step 2: Visit Bangladesh Assistant High Commissioner in Birmingham for biometric enrolment:

Step 3: Collect your e-passport.
You will receive an email/SMS notification when the passport is ready. Bring the delivery slip you received during passport enrolment.
Required documents Bangladeshi Citizens by birth:
- Printed application summary (with the barcode).
- Printed application form (with the barcode)
- Printed email confirmation for the appointment.
- Bangladeshi NID card or online Bangladeshi Birth certificate (in English)
- Existing Bangladesh Passport.
- Proof of address in the UK
- British/Other countries passport (For dual citizens)
- Student ID card with an expiry date or letter from the concerned institution (if applicable)
- GO/NOC for govt. service holder (if applicable)
- Further documents depend on the application's nature/correction.
