Who is eligible
British nationals of Bangladesh origin their children and eligible persons living in the following areas may apply for NVR to the Assistant High Commission for Bangladesh in Birmingham:
Midlands: Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, West Midlands, Leicestershire, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Hereford and Worchester, Salop, Gloucestershire.
South Wales: Cardiff, Newport, Swansea, Powys, Mid Glamorgan, South Glamorgan, Dyfed, Gwent.
Document Requirements
Bangladeshi citizen, currently holding a British/Foreign passport

Passport (with at least six months of validity).

Proof of address in the UK (parent's proof of address for applicants below 18 years).

One passport-size photo. (With a white background.)

One of the following documents (original and photocopy):
- Bangladesh passport (any mismatch in Bangladesh passport and submitted passport must be supported by a name change deed duly legalized by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, UK).
- Bangladesh Citizenship Certificate (issued by Ministry of Home Affairs, Dhaka and attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhaka).
- 17 Digit Online Birth Certificate (issued by a competent authority of Bangladesh).
- Education Certificate (issued by any Board/University of Bangladesh and attested by MOFA, Dhaka)
- Previous passport with "No Visa Required stamp/sticker. (Any change of information must be supported by a deed pole duly attested by the foreign and commonwealth office)

Father's/Mother's Bangladesh Passport or passport of another country with "No Visa Required" stamp /sticker on it.

Please Note: Names of the children and their parents printed on the passports must match with those in the birth certificates of the children. Any mismatch must be supported by a name change deed duly legalized by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, UK.

Processing Time
The standard time to process an NVR application, Bangladesh Assistant High Commission Birmingham requires at least ten (10) working days.
Urgent Applications:
An urgent NVR Application may be considered in case of family bereavement, sickness or any other compelling reason. In such case, a confirmed travel itinerary with E-Ticket must be submitted with the application.
